“Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!” – Psalm 27:14

Waiting is one of the hardest disciplines of faith. We live in a world that tells us faster is better, and that success comes to those who push harder and move quicker.

Yet Scripture reminds us that the most important victories often come not through striving, but through waiting on the Lord.

David, the psalmist, knew this well. He had been anointed king, yet spent years in caves and exile waiting for God’s promise to be fulfilled. His courage was not rooted in his own strength, but in God’s faithfulness.

Waiting requires courage because it means surrendering control. It takes courage to wait on God in times of plenty, when it would be easy to rely on our own resources. It takes courage to wait on Him in times of few, when fear and scarcity tempt us to take matters into our own hands.

But waiting is never wasted with God. In the waiting, He strengthens us. In the waiting, He shapes our character. And in the waiting, He draws us closer to His presence.

So today, whether you are waiting for provision, healing, direction, or breakthrough—be strong and take courage. God is faithful. His timing is perfect. And those who wait on Him will never be disappointed.
