Fun at the Buckner Family Hope Center Fall Festival
The children in the Buckner Family Hope Center at Houston/Aldine after-school program were “treated to a wonderful fun-filled time during our annual fall festival,” said Shonice Reed, children’s program supervisor for the Family Hope Center. “Laughter could be heard throughout the building as the children experienced traditional carnival games like ring toss and an old-fashioned cake walk just to name a few.”
Parents also joined in the fun as they played games and enjoyed the festivities. Face painting, a photo booth and “scrumptious carnival food were also a hit as parents and children enjoyed tasty hot dogs, nachos, chips and hot buttery popcorn," Reed said. “As each child ended their day they stopped at the prize booth to cash in tickets for carnival trinkets and candy as a reward for the hard work and play.”
