Yesterday, Matthew McConaughey stopped by Texas Rangers MLB Youth Academy and spoke to youths participating in programs at the Buckner Family Hope Center at the Texas Rangers MLB Youth Academy in West Dallas.
The event was hosted by the Texas Rangers Foundation and the just keep livin foundation (j.k. livin foundation), started by Matthew and Camila McConaughey dedicated to empowering high school students to lead active and healthy lives.
McConaughey spoke to the teens about college, independence and the importance of positive influences. He encouraged them to start preparing for college now and to surround themselves with positive role models and friends.
"We are so grateful to Matthew McConaughey for investing in our families here at the Texas Rangers MLB Youth Academy," said Gabriel Flores, manager of the Buckner Family Hope Center at the Texas Rangers MLB Youth Academy. "Thank you for serving and encouraging our youth."
