Mattress Mack provides Houston families in need with clothes

Gallery Furniture in Houston surprised the Buckner Family Hope Centers at Reed Road and Aldine with more than 2,000 pounds of adult and children clothing for families being served by the Family Hope Centers.

Jim McIngvale, "Mattress Mack," owner of Gallery Furniture, has been working with the Spring Fire Department on a toy drive to benefit the families affected by the tornados in Kentucky, but wanted to extend some help to the families in his own Houston community as well.

“This is a wonderful holiday surprise from Gallery Furniture and Mattress Mack that will bring hope to so many families in the Houston area,” said Dior Burns Eagan, executive director for Buckner in Houston.

Buckner will distribute the clothes to the local children and families served by its two Houston-area Family Hope Centers in Aldine and in South Houston at Reed Road. Buckner is also giving a portion of clothes to Star of Hope Mission, as the nonprofits collaborate together on the South Houston campus.

See how you can help provide hope to vulnerable families in your community.
