Samaritan’s Feet Contributes 6,000 Shoes
(DALLAS, Texas) – Samaritan’s Feet, a Christian shoe collection and distribution ministry, gave Shoes for Orphan Souls 6,000 pairs of new shoes from its Indianapolis warehouse April 16.
Matt Asato, Buckner humanitarian aid manager, said the shipment came after he and Bruce Bodman, director of International Missions and Projects for Samaritan’s Feet, “looked at a potential collaboration between our two ministries. Through that conversation came this shipment, the first of what may be more.
“Samaritan’s Feet is a like-minded organization with Buckner, in that they seek to reach children globally to the type of children we serve,” said Asato. “These shoes came at a great time. They’ll probably be sent in shipments were sending out to Ethiopia, Guatemala and Latvia in the next month.”
