Last week, Buckner and Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale were celebrated at the Houston Astros pre-game ceremony for their collaboration with the Astros Foundation to help vulnerable children by organizing a Buckner Shoes for Orphan Souls® community shoe drive.

All three Gallery Furniture stores have acted as host drop-off locations for new shoes since Aug. 3. The donated shoes will benefit vulnerable children in Houston and internationally. 

One lucky participant was also chosen to throw the ceremonial first pitch before the baseball game.
