Buckner families check in as safe
All children, families and seniors served by Buckner International in Southeast Texas continue to be safe.
Buckner officials have checked on nearly every family the ministry serves, including foster families and families ministered to through the Buckner Family Hope Center at Houston/Aldine. Though some have evacuated, they remain safe.
Buckner Calder Woods is prepared for Hurricane Harvey as the storm is forecast to head toward Beaumont.
The community is dry, has more than 500 gallons of drinking water on hand and more than a week’s worth of food for all residents should the supplies be needed.
Buckner leaders continue to ask people to pray for Southeast Texas and all those affected by Harvey. Buckner serves vulnerable children and families in the area through Calder Woods, Buckner Parkway Place, foster care and adoption, two Buckner Family Pathways locations and the Buckner Family Hope Center at Houston/Aldine.
