5 ways to celebrate your mom on Mother’s Day
Moms are priceless and we appreciate and value all the mothers who care for children at their most vulnerable.
Every day, our mothers inspire us and make a difference in the lives of their children. And we know you want your mother to feel loved and see her value.
Mother’s Day is approaching and here are five ways you can tell her how much she means to you, whether you live in the same house or are apart.
Spend some quality time with mom
Every mother loves to spend time with their kids, especially if their kids are older and always on the go. Take the time to be intentional with your mom.
If you can visit, brew a cup of tea, coffee, hot chocolate or pour her a glass of her favorite beverage to sip while you chat. Or go for a stroll at the park, flower garden or lake.
If you’re apart, you can still sit together on the phone or through video chat and have a nice chat. Mom will love the devoted time to catch up, and we bet you will too.
Watch a movie together
It’s mom’s day so let her choose her favorite movie, then snuggle up on the couch and enjoy the film together.
And if you’re apart, you can still watch together. Many streaming apps like Disney+ and Hulu have watch parties where you can stream a movie together at the same time. Of course, you can always count down and push play at the same time too.
The important thing is being with mom and doing an activity she would love.
Whip up a delectable treat
What is your mom’s favorite snack? Put on your apron and head to the kitchen to bake some of her favorite goodies. Or if you’re feeling very adventurous, make mom a nice breakfast or her favorite dinner.
And if you live with mom, don’t forget to do the dishes and clean the kitchen afterwards so she doesn’t have to do it later.
Get creative
Show mom you love her with a beautiful art project, a jamming playlist or a sweet home video. It doesn’t have to be professional quality. Mom will love the thought you put into your project and is sure to treasure it.
Put on your game face
Pull down the board games or playing cards and have a competitive match with your mom.
Or if she is a sports fan, take her to the stadium of her favorite team or settle in on the couch to cheer the team on together.
There’s nothing like bonding over some competition. Just remember to keep it fun and don’t get too carried away with wanting to win.
