Nonprofit financial accreditation
Trust is the most important factor when considering making a donation to a nonprofit organization. This is why Buckner International pursues accreditation validation from independent sources for public transparency.
Buckner became a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (EFCA) in 2007. The ECFA is an accreditation agency dedicated to helping Christian ministries earn the public’s trust.
We’re also a member of America's Best Charities as Buckner Children and Family Services. The America's Best Charities Seal of Excellence is awarded to charitable organizations that have, upon rigorous independent review, been able to certify, document and demonstrate on an annual basis that they meet the highest standards of public accountability, program effectiveness, and cost effectiveness.
Buckner was also recognized by Excellence in Giving with a certification in transparency. This seal recognizes our commitment to transparency in governance, finances, strategy and impact and our dedication to share beyond what the IRS requires of nonprofits. To receive this seal, Buckner submitted 175 data points about operations and performance for donors to review before making an informed giving decision.
