Buckner International President Albert Reyes accepted a $10,000 gift from the Bank of America Foundation May 27 to fund North Texas ministries. The ceremony was held at the Buckner-run Wynnewood Community Center in Oak Cliff near Bank of America’s Oak Cliff branch.
“We’re really excited to partner with the Bank of America Foundation to make a difference-- and make lives better,” Reyes noted.
Jalaunda Johnson, Bank of America’s Oak Cliff branch manager, responded that the bank “is proud to partner with Buckner, who we’d like to recognize for all the community service they do.”
Johnson explained that Bank of America Foundation “operates one of the largest philanthropic budgets of any corporation foundation in the United States. But while thinking globally, we’re also working right here in North Texas to contribute to the Metroplex. Buckner was selected by the Bank of America Foundation based not only on the merits of its work, but for the future impact on the region.”
