Baptist Retirement Community board chairman recognized with statewide award
LeadingAge Texas, a trade association representing the full continuum of mission-driven, not-for-profit aging services providers, recently recognized Baptist Memorial Ministries Chairman of the Board and Buckner International Board of Trustees member Gail Flood with an award for excellence in governance.
The Excellence in Governance Award is given to voluntary leaders who have served with distinction on the governing board of a LeadingAge Texas member organization and thereby made an outstanding contribution to the well-being of seniors, to the employees who serve them and to organization’s non-profit mission.
“Dr. Flood is an incredible leader and part of the Baptist Retirement Community,” said Senior Vice President of Buckner Retirement Services Charlie Wilson. “His commitment to inspiring happiness in the lives of seniors is lived out each day on the campus in San Angelo. He is truly a fitting recipient of this award.”
In addition to Flood’s recognition, LeadingAge Texas also presented Buckner Retirement Service with the Excellence in the Workplace Award. The honor recognizes organizations that demonstrate effectiveness in fostering and advancing a healthy workplace culture and an environment that promotes the recruitment, retention, and development of staff at all levels of the organization.
