Becoming a better father
Due to a strained home life growing up, Manuel Espinoza* struggled to show his feelings or even play with his children. He was also very tough on his wife and had a hard time expressing his love to her or their children. When it came to spending time with his family, he would often make excuses and avoid it at all costs.
Since taking the fatherhood class at the Buckner Family Hope Center at Bachman Lake, he has started to change. His wife said he is sweeter to her and a much more loving father to their children. He now makes time to play with the children and goes out of his way to spend quality time with his wife. He is also much more social and friendly to others around him.
This has been the beginning of a healing process for Manuel as he has started to re-establish a relationship with his father and brothers and has started to see the value and importance of family.
