Brian Robbins named vice president of operations for Buckner Retirement Services
Officials with Buckner Retirement Services have announced that Brian L. Robbins has been named vice president of operations for the Dallas-based organization effective April 17.
Robbins is currently a director of operations with Life Care Services. He previously served as the executive director of Westminster in Austin, Texas.
Robbins has more than 15 years of leadership and management experience in long-term care. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business and a Certificate of Leadership Studies from Fort Hays State University in Kansas and a certificate in Long-Term Adult Care Administration from Cowley College in Kansas. He also received a Certificate in Human Dimensions of Organizations from the University of Texas-Austin. He is a licensed nursing home administrator in Nebraska and Texas.
Robbins is a Navy veteran of Desert Shield/Desert Storm and Noble Eagle/ Enduring Freedom. He earned three Navy and Marine Corps achievement medals, along with other recognitions. He was selected as the Naval Reserve Sailor of the Year by the commander of the Naval Reserve Center at Fort Carson, Colorado.
Along with being an active member of the American College of Health Care Administrators and the American College of Healthcare Executives, Robbins served on the board of directors for LeadingAge Texas, the state’s largest association of nonprofit senior care providers.
Charlie Wilson, senior vice president for Buckner Retirement Services said Robbins brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his new role.
