Thirty-four percent of children whose parents lack a college education live in poverty. Fifty-nine percent of young children in poor families live with a single parent. For the last 20 years, Buckner Family Pathways has sought to change that by giving families a safe place to live and help with child care so single parents can attain their educational goals and change their families.

"I think Buckner Family Pathways molded me to be that kind of person and I want to pass it on to [my daughter]," said Tiffany Pangarakis, Family Pathways participant in Lufkin, Texas. "I want her to know she can accomplish whatever she wants, whatever she puts her mind to."
