(DALLAS, Texas) — Buckner honored Holy Trinity Church on Nov. 14 as Volunteer Philanthropist of the year during the 23rd annual Awards Luncheon presented by the Greater Dallas Chapter Association of Fundraising Professionals and Communities Foundation of Texas.

National Philanthropy Day (NPD) celebrates philanthropic contributors and those who work in the philanthropic process.

Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church of Dallas was honored for making Buckner International’s Shoes for Orphan Souls their national missions project. They conducted shoe drives and went through the process of making SOS a recommended service project among Greek Orthodox churches throughout the Americas. The church will also be encouraging international adoption, especially for children in Russia and Eastern Europe.
