Buckner provides children in Aldine, Conroe with school supplies

The Buckner Family Hope Center at Houston/Aldine and the Buckner Foster Care and Adoption and Family Pathways programs in Conroe recently provided children in their respective communities with backpacks and school supplies.

Laura May, executive director for Buckner Children and Family Services of Southeast Texas, reported that “the Family Hope Center at Houston/Aldine gave out more than 400 backpacks to families who earned ‘Buckner Bucks’ through volunteering, attending Family Coaching, and empowerment classes offered at the Family Hope Center. Thanks to the many volunteers who helped make this a reality, including Salient Partners.”

The Buckner Conroe ministries, she said, “hosted Star of Hope’s back-to-school celebration. Thanks to volunteers from Northshore Church in Conroe for helping to make this possible."

“School supplies are a great way to show children in our communities that we want them to have a great school year and we want them to have everything they need to succeed,” she said.
