Buckner Receives $1,000 Grant from the Allstate Foundation in Honor of Agent’s Community Service

BEAUMONT, Texas- The Allstate Foundation’s gift of $1,000 to Buckner Children and Family Services in Beaumont was given in honor of the exemplary volunteer efforts of Phillip Mayeux, owner of Phillip Mayeux Allstate Insurance Company in Beaumont’s west end. The money from the grant will provide support for Buckner Children and Family Services in Southeast Texas.

Mayeux became involved with Buckner as a volunteer at a recent fundraiser for the organization, and nominated Buckner as his charity of choice to receive the Agency Hands Community Grant from the Allstate Foundation.

“I’m proud to have been able to give back to our community; specifically to the abused, neglected and abandoned children served by Buckner,” said Mayeux.“Volunteering for Buckner has been a great experience for me, and I’m looking forward to working with them again during the Christmas holidays.”

The Allstate Foundation is dedicated to fostering safe and vital communities. Since 1952, the Foundation has invested more than $275 million towards addressing key social issues in communities across the country.

“Volunteers are the heartbeat of any non-profit,” said Laura May, administrator for Buckner Children and Family Services in Beaumont. “Our partnership with Phillip Mayeux Allstate allows our Southeast Texas community to see that Allstate cares about vulnerable children and families in Southeast Texas; not only do they care, but they put their words into action. Allstate is making a difference in the lives of hurting children and broken families in our community and we are grateful for their support.”
