Summer is one of the busiest times of the year at Buckner. Mission teams are shining hope around the world by distributing new footwear through Buckner Shoes for Orphan Souls®, conducting Vacation Bible Schools and building homes.

This month, we're asking the Buckner family to pray for Buckner Missions efforts. Please pray:

• For mission teams as they serve families involved in Buckner Family Hope Centers. May God guide their words and actions. 
• More teams step forward to build homes in the Rio Grande Valley. Families are struggling through the Texas summer heat in delapidated conditions. Home builds in the area can set families forward 10 years and provide safe, secure places for children.
• For a teacher training vision trip in the Dominican Republic this week. Pray for wisdom and clarity for the team. Let members understand the needs of teachers in the country and how God is calling them to respond.
• For a recent mission trip participant who said: "I wanted to share that God has also been speaking to my heart about becoming involved in the foster care program in some way. Please pray for me as I begin to look into what God is asking me to do!"
• For the fathers and teenage sons at the Buckner Family Hope Center at Villa Hermosa, Peru as they attempt to reconcile and learn how to communicate with each other. A mission team recently sought to help them.
