Faith Focus: Looking for something more
Tiara was living in a small Texas town and pregnant at 18. Given her situation, she quickly realized her ability to support her daughter would be limited unless something happened.
That something was Buckner Family Pathways in Lufkin. She applied for the program, was accepted and quickly moved in and enrolled in school. She’s working hard, getting good grades and paving the way for a bright future – for herself and her daughter.
We’ve all felt the desire for our lives to be different. It happens for a variety of reasons – a dead-end job, an unhappy relationship, unfulfilled dreams. Like Tiara, we look for options. We look for guidance.
By reading and studying the Bible, conversing with God through prayer and looking for the guidance of the Holy Spirit, God helps us. He works in our lives. He has plans for us.
Trust him.
Let the Lord guide you today – no matter your circumstances.
Show me your ways, Lord,
teach me your paths.
Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Savior,
and my hope is in you all day long. –Psalm 25:4-5
Deeper reflection:
- How do you determine God's will before you act?
- Where do you sense God guiding your life today?
Next steps:
