For many of us, the summers of our childhoods include some of the most special moments of our lives. Thanks to the many volunteers that serve through Buckner ministries from June-August, this summer is special for the families and children Buckner serves. 

Recently, Trinity Baptist Church held a picnic for the families in the Buckner Family Pathways in Amarillo. Families prayed together, ate together and had a blast in the splash park. I love this candid moment that was captured during the picnic. It exemplifies how much volunteers are committed to serving our families and the pure joy that results from that commitment.
