Sometimes life can be brutal. Just when you think you've tackled one obstacle, another one approaches. In my life, I have felt that overwhelming feeling that there’s no way one more bad thing can happen. It just can’t! But then it does.

God brings us peace, comfort and steadfastness in our lives in the midst of these overwhelming moments. 

“You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore." - Psalm 16:11 

In his presence, there's fullness of joy ... That means no matter where I am, wherever you are, what lion is roaring in your face, just waiting for you to cower down - there is joy. Even there!

God is present with us always and his presence is something that can be carried with us day in and day out. No lion is too mighty for our God. Maverick City Music’s song, "Firm Foundation," phrases this beautifully.

“I've still got joy in chaos, I have peace that makes no sense. I won’t be going under. I'm not held by my own strength. 'Cause I've built my life on Jesus."

In his presence, there's fullness of joy! Bountifulness! Abundance!

I hope you’re encouraged by this - no matter your circumstance, no matter what chaos, crazy summer schedules, activities, or life that is being thrown at you today, you can seek and find the Lord’s joy in your heart. Each day is a blessing and a gift and there's joy that can be found, you just have to seek God to find it.
