How to shine hope this Christmas season

The Christmas season always seems to bring out the best in all of us. It’s the time of year where we want to encourage and empower those around us. At Buckner International, the season brings many ways to help people do just that.

You can:

  • Donate presents for children in the foster care system.
  • Provide a meal for a family in one of our family strengthening programs.
  • Sort, wrap and distribute presents to vulnerable children and families.
  • Help throw Christmas parties for the children and families we serve.
  • Donate a pair of shoes for a child through Buckner Shoes for Orphan Souls®, letting it be their first step in life transformation.
  • And many more!

The best part about serving through Buckner is every volunteer knows the impact of their service will last long after they leave. Buckner volunteers strategically help the children and families we serve, providing crucial help in assisting them in accomplishing their life goals.

I am new to Texas and have a non-profit background - most recently working for Urban Ministries of Durham (homeless shelter) in NC for the development department as a Marketing and Development Manager. Would like to learn more about your mission and how I may possibly serve. In the interim, my adult daughters and I would like to volunteer during the holiday season as they will be visiting Dec. 19 & 20, however I realize its probably a very busy time for you.
