Dr. Albert Reyes, president and CEO of Buckner International, is releasing his third book "Never Alone: The Power of Family to Inspire Hope" in May. 

Never Alone is all about family and its significance today. Does family still matter in the 21st century? What does the Bible say about family?

We had a chance to sit down with him and ask questions ranging from his writing process to his inspiration for this new book to his true hope for those who read it. 

When asked where he got the idea for Never Alone, his heart for families really shined. 

"I started thinking about how important the family is for society, for communities and cities, really for human flourishing," Reyes shared. "You really need good, strong families."

"I've seen efforts across the years as I've been here with Buckner at diminishing the importance of family. But really at the core of our work is family. So I raised the question, 'Do we really still need families in the 21st century?' Of course, the answer is yes."
