Transformation begins from the inside and manifests itself outwardly. That starts with instilling God’s truth in our lives early on. That knowledge provides the foundation from which we grow into who God created us to be.
 
As we wind down our recommendations during National Book Month, it may seem obvious for a Christian ministry to recommend the Bible. But the Bible is at the heart of Buckner International’s work. And as we’ve served children, we’ve found this Bible to be particularly effective in communicating God’s love to the children we serve.
 
We use the Jesus Storybook Bible in many of our programs and have found it works with children of a variety of ages, backgrounds and even languages. The children enjoy the images and can grasp the way the story is told and this version of the Bible helps children understand that even the very first stories of the Bible point us to Christ.
