DALLAS – Brad Barnett has been named Senior Vice President of Buckner Children and Family Services, according to Buckner International President and CEO Albert Reyes. His first day is today.
Reyes made the announcement to trustees and staff last week, citing Barnett’s business experience and his calling to serve children and families as unique skills Barnett brings to his new role at Buckner.
“Brad’s extensive business background, combined with his life’s mission to ‘live a life for Christ and use all the talent He gave me in the process’ position him well for his new role with Buckner,” Reyes said. “I am excited that Brad’s knowledge of business tactics and processes are being linked with our BCFS staff’s extensive knowledge and experience in quality care for vulnerable children and families. Buckner is blessed to have the most capable leaders in child care anywhere in the nation.”
As senior vice president, Barnett will oversee Buckner’s domestic and international child and family care operations, including adoption and maternity services and spiritual development.
A native of Oklahoma, Barnett most recently served as Vice President of Global Operations for Adams Golf in Plano, Texas. In his role at Adams, he helped the company strengthen its production processes. He was also involved in the merger and acquisition of Adams into TaylorMade-Adidas Golf in June of 2012.
Reyes emphasized that Barnett’s personal and professional values were attributes that brought him to the forefront as a candidate for the position. “Brad’s values encapsulate our Buckner core values. He exhibits Christ-like qualities, he has a Servant’s Spirit, and he’s Passion-driven.”
Brad and his wife Julie are members of Bent Tree Bible Fellowship. They have three children.
