We’re not bored, and this is not your grandma’s retirement home
“Bored” is not a word you’ll hear around Buckner senior living communities very often. From woodworking and quilting to water aerobics and Zumba, activity calendars each month are full of life-enrichment activities catered directly toward residents’ interests and passions.
In fact, while many residents consider themselves retired from work, others are still gainfully employed and many volunteer on a regular basis. That’s why we call our communities “senior living communities” and not retirement homes. These residents are all about making the most of life.
In honor of National Anti-boredom Month in July, here’s a look at some of the ways residents at Buckner senior living communities stay active throughout the year.
