The responsibilities of life can feel like waves in an ocean trying to overtake us. Our problems can seem like a never-ending mountain too high to climb. Thankfully, the God of the universe is on our side. He has control over the unpredictable waves of life and every problem we face. We must trust that the same power of our mighty God lives in us, through the Holy Spirit.

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and love and of a sound mind.” – 2 Timothy 1:7

When we realize the power we have through Christ, we can find joy in resting in God and allowing him to fight our battles! Isn’t it a blessing to know we don’t have to hold everything together or have all the answers? We have a powerful God fighting on our behalf.

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” – 2 Corinthians 12:9 

God constantly reminds me to give my problems over to him. 

He gives me strength to endure, to say yes to his will and no to my own desires. As I continue to grow in my faith, I see God’s goodness and mercy daily. The burden I place on myself to be perfect is unrealistic. All I can do is rest in the One who is perfect and gives me the strength to choose righteousness daily.  

I challenge you to ask God for the power you need to overcome obstacles in your life and the faith to believe he will provide it. 

“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 1:6
