Today is North Texas Giving Day
With more than 11,000 children in North Texas in need of a safe place to call home, you have the chance to bring hope to those most vulnerable through North Texas Giving Day.
Lee and Kaari Vasquez started their journey as foster parents 13 years ago while living in a one-bedroom apartment. Their first placement, three-month-old David is still with them, but not as a foster child. They adopted him. Their youngest son, Anthony, came soon after.
Like Lee and Kaari, Buckner is dedicated to helping vulnerable children thrive through the loving support of a foster family, for a season or for a lifetime.
But we can't do it alone.
With your financial support through North Texas Giving Day, your gift will make sure each child in our care receives:
- A loving family to care for them in a season or a lifetime
- Regular, nutritious meals and snacks
- Clothing, shoes and school supplies
- Counseling to heal past trauma and hurt
- Tutoring and educational services
- Toys and gifts to call their own
With your help, we can bring children like David and Anthony the promise and hope for the future.
Why should I give on North Texas Giving Day?
Buckner International will receive a percentage of bonus funds from the Communities Foundation of Texas based on how many funds we raise. By giving on North Texas Giving Day, you’re helping your donation go even further to help protect children and strengthen families in North Texas.
