Stonegate Fellowship Church from Midland, Texas, generously donated several cameras to the Buckner Family Hope Center in Peñitas, Texas. The staff there had been checking them out to volunteers to photograph classes and events until Gabriel Flores, community coordinator at the Hope Center, got a great idea.

"We're always talking about how hope shines here at the Center, but I asked the kids, 'How does hope shine in your lives?'" Flores said. "I challenged them with the idea of a photography contest showing how they see hope in their daily lives.
