This year, we are celebrating many milestones for Buckner – one of those being 50 years of ministry in the Rio Grande Valley. This issue of Buckner Today showcases the many families and children who have experienced success and growth through the programs available to them in the Valley. 

We also spent time with two best-selling authors – both impacted by Buckner in different ways. While one experienced foster care as a child and was inspired to write a book full of love, the other experienced volunteering at our Buckner Family Hope Center and wanted to share words of encouragement to the kids she worked with every day and kids across the world.

In these pages, we hope you find inspiration – and maybe even a challenge to shine hope into the families around you. But we know we couldn’t do this without you. Because of you, we continue to make a difference.
