For LaSherrell Hayes, Buckner gave her access to safe housing, resources to learn life skills and financial principles and the foundation to transform both her and her daughter's lives.

With the resources and support she found at Buckner, today Hayes is a college graduate working in special eduation at a Dallas school, and is proud to be the owner of a three-bedroom, two-bathroom home. According to her, she's not sure where she'd be had she not found Buckner.
