Residents and their children are offered a safe place to live; counseling services; training in parenting skills, money management, communication skills and conflict resolution; spiritual enrichment and mentorship.
How are Buckner Family Pathways unique?
Other programs might serve families with housing or education, but we offer a total package of affordable housing, educational criteria, case management, spiritual enrichment and client assistance. We provide all the tools single parents need to succeed.
Why focus on single-parent families?
Fifty-nine percent of young children in low-income families live with a single parent. More than 85 percent of homeless families in the United States are headed by single women – hardworking mothers struggling to make ends meet. When these parents receive opportunities to get an education, earn more income and achieve self-sufficiency, their children will benefit, their families will grow healthy and their futures will be transformed.
