"And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus." – Philippians 4:19 (NIV)
Although foster and adoptive parents undergo countless hours of training prior to placement, parenting often presents unique and unexpected challenges that may require clinical assistance or coaching. Foster and adoptive parents face ambiguous loss and tough parenting challenges on a regular basis. Birth families may struggle with chronic or complicated grief years following the placement of a child. Adoptees may have experienced adverse childhoods, including trauma, loss or abuse. Adoptees may also struggle with identity and trust.
Regardless of what you may be facing, Buckner Foster Care and Adoption is committed to walking with adoptees, birth families and foster and adoptive families on this journey through post-adoption and counseling services. We offer the below services.
