In Dallas/Fort Worth, our ministries serve vulnerable children, families and seniors with resources and support to protect children, strengthen families, transform generations and serve seniors.

Rishun and her five children have found support and activities at the Buckner Family Hope Center® that have strengthened them as a family. Daryl and Sandra Wright have fostered more than 20 children through Buckner Foster Care and Adoption and enjoy experiencing the different personalities and ages that come through their home. Members at Ventana by Buckner have found ways to inspire happiness in their lives while living independent, active lifestyles.

Buckner provides the training and resources needed to become a family to a child for a season or forever through domestic foster care or adoption. Children in these programs are most often referred through the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services due to experiencing abuse, neglect or abandonment. We also respond to mothers experiencing an unplanned pregnancy with counseling and support.

Buckner Children's Home provides campus foster homes for children. Foster families live in Buckner-owned cottages, providing a consistent home environment for children who are in the state's custody and may have been abused, neglected or abandoned.

We provide single-parent families the opportunity to live in a safe, secure environment while completing their educational or vocational goals and learning the skills they need to be self-sufficient. Families are provided support through access to affordable housing, financial assistance, counseling, spiritual growth and case management services. Family Hope Centers are child-centered, family-focused places where families go to find hope, support and empowerment in their community to reach their fullest God-given potential. Our programs seek to engage through family assistance and community events; equip families through education, financial empowerment, child and youth development and spiritual development; and elevate families through family coaching, counseling and spiritual enrichment.

The Buckner Center for Humanitarian Aid has a domestic aid and client assistance program that serves children and families in poverty. Basic needs such as food, clothing and other emergency items are provided. Empowerment classes in English as a Second Language, life skills and job readiness are provided to adult clients. The Center for Humanitarian Aid also is the receiving and shipping center for all international needs including diapers, clothing, medicine and Buckner Shoes for Orphan Souls®.

Buckner NextStep is a supervised independent living program for young women transitioning out of foster care or who have been referred by other partner organizations. Participants receive the support they need to meet their educational, career and independent living goals through training, coaching and opportunities for spiritual development.
